The key to providing an outstanding custom home building experience hinges on a Builder’s ability to apply a high level of organization and process to the project. The construction sequence for a typical custom home project may include as many as 250 independent activities, each with its own critical path, material lead time and labor availability. How is this achieved?

Nearly a year ago we set out to find the best custom homebuilding project management system in the market. Our objectives for this new system went beyond the scheduling aspect of the project, we also wanted a solution for:

  • Tracking allowance budgets and change orders
  • Sharing information with clients and field supervisors
  • Storing important documents and photos
  • Creating to-do lists
  • Communicating with clients and trade partners
  • Summarizing daily activity including weather status

After much research we settled on the Co Construct system, which provides all the features listed above – and more. Our clients now have a dedicated portal to track activity on their project, view photographs, approve selection items and track financial activity. We’re four months into the implementation and we’re managing 7 projects through the system already. We add new features regularly and the support is excellent from the Co Construct Support Team!
